The Midnight Men are an exclusive gentlemen’s club, and a central aspect of the book I am working on Ivy at Midnight, a sort of Ghostbusters meets Oliver Twist.

It is my super good friend Feena’s birthday today, and as per tradition, I draw her a desktop background.

Feena is wonderful. She’s helped so much in me developing the world of the book I am currently working on Ivy Clarke and the Curse of Midnight, she’s a fantastic researcher. Every year I tend to draw characters from some of my own books but I didn’t think that was fair this time around.

In November she took part in NaNoWriMo, and successfully completed it, beginning a story I shouldn’t say MUCH about (and can’t because she hasn’t let me read it yet!) but I knew enough to design this promotional image for it.
